Stories from the farm – a closer look at the people, the place and the bio-diversity at 5EyesFarm

Butterfly poetry
Never has black been so velvet. Stare for even a moment, and it draws you into a vast abyss of mesmerising travel. It is the black of all colours shimmering with none at all – Hues with echoes of rainbow. This black absorbs light without quenching it. It reinterprets shadow, and as each wing flutters, as each movement takes place, it slows down time against the hurried movement of the Mormon on the wing. It is at this time of year that we will see her. She is looking to lay. No butterfly comes close to her veiled beauty or the enigmatic smile of the Mormon Butterfly.
Organic Life – stories from the farm
Organic gardening is not about just substituting toxic chemicals with less toxic ones, but about a whole different way of thinking and working. It is a conscious effort to cooperate with Nature in the creation of health and abundance for all.

New organic recycling: bio-convert green waste using insects to make food for the animals
Our work with raising freshwater fish and poultry is focusing on the food they eat. Food is the only input we aim to use. No supplements or lab chemicals at all. And by making the food organically we know what they eat, and we know what we eat. Recycle green...
Our food security and sustainability: Can we innovate for the future?
There are no simple solutions to food security, and there are many actors and industries associated with future food production, consumption and understanding. However, if we take climate change science seriously, even on average, we are facing the need to adapt, as...
Using plants for medicine is a great adventure full of possibilities
One of the wonderful things about being here is that growing a wide variety of food just happens almost by its self. Walking around the farm, we will come across various types of ginger coming out from underneath the roots of trees and sometimes in very tall crops by themselves.
Aquaponics – the magic art of growing freshwater fish and productive plants together
Aquaponics combines hydroponics with fish culture creating a mutually beneficial, sustainable option for healthy food production
